Eve Speaks About Halle Berry’s Nudity

Posted on 27 Aug 2002 at 11:00pm

Hot rapper/actress Eve says she would consider doing onscreen nudity, and she isn’t mad that Halle Berry has been brave enough to do the same. Eve, whose third album is on the way, makes an appearance in the blockbuster hit XXX, and she’ll soon be seen opposite Ice Cube in Barbershop.

When Eve was asked who her acting idols were, Berry was the first name that rolled off Eve’s lips, and she backs Berry’s Academy Award-winning decision to shed her clothes during a graphic love scene in last year’s Monster’s Ball.

Eve, who long ago quit working as a stripper, told LAUNCH that she might eventually show off her shapely body on screen. “I think I would. It depends on the role though, it depends on the role and the situation, and what the movie is about,” she said.

3LW’s Naughton’s Has Claims Of Mistreatment

Posted on 27 Aug 2002 at 11:00pm

Remaining 3LW members Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams issued a statement Thursday (August 22) denying claims that former member Naturi Naughton was forced to leave the group due to mistreatment.

Naughton announced her exit Wednesday on New York’s WBLS-FM Wednesday (August 21), accusing manager Michelle Williams of regularly complaining about her appearance. Naughton also claimed that Kiely hit her with a plate of food following an argument during a tour stop in South Carolina.

“We’ve been disappointed by the comments Naturi has made on radio and most recently on MTV’s TRL,” Bailon said. “Like most girlfriends, we’ve had our share of differences. However, at no time was Naturi subjected to any physical abuse. We totally deny claims made against us.”
