Once again Dr. Dre gets involved with a unauthorized copyright infringement case which is targeted at Eminem by a widow of composer Ronald Stein. This case involves infringement from a composition for 1970’s Getting Straight, a flick starring Elliot Gould and Candice Bergen, for Em’s tune “Guilty Conscience.”. It is noted that Harlene Stein hasn’t received any royalty from her late husbands work which she inherited publishing rights upon his death in 1998.
A private chartered plane carrying the Dixie Chicks and their crew from Dublin, Ireland to Glasgow, Scotland on Friday (September 19) clipped the side of a terminal building at the Glasgow Airport. According to a statement from the trio’s publicist, the plane had already landed and was traveling at a very slow speed when a member of the airport’s ground crew directed it in at a bad angle. No one was hurt in the mishap, and the Chicks intended to perform their scheduled concert in Glasgow Friday evening.
The group issued a statement shortly after the incident, saying, “There was a minor accident at the Glasgow airport and we are fine.” A spokesperson for the airport confirmed that both the building and tip of the plane’s wing sustained minimal damage.

Michael and Diane Haughton have ended a series of legal battles stemming from the plane crash that claimed the life of the R&B star and actress two years ago.
The Haughtons have settled wrongful-death lawsuits against Aaliyah’s label, Virgin Records, as well as several video-production companies and the owner and operator of the twin-engine Cessna that went down shortly after takeoff in August 2001, killing all aboard.
The suits, one in federal court in California, the other in federal court in Florida, were tentatively settled earlier this summer, according to family lawyer Robert Spragg.
Spragg expects the settlements to be finalized soon and filed under seal, meaning terms will not be publicly disclosed.
“I don’t believe the Haughton family will ever recover fully from the loss of Aaliyah,” Spragg says. “It’s been a very difficult two years.”
