Singer/actress Brandy is releasing a greatest hits album next week that will include 18 songs from four of her albums. The Best Of Brandy features 16 Top 20 and R&B hits, a remix of the 1994 song “I Wanna Be Down” (featuring Queen Latifah, YoYo and MC Lyte), and a cover of the Phil Collins classic “Another Day in Paradise.” There’s also a duet with her brother, Ray J, which was previously only available in Europe. The CD also includes a duet with producer and rapper Kanye West, and her1998 duet with Monica on “The Boy is Mine.”
Brandy says, “I think it’s awesome to have an album that reflects the songs that people have enjoyed over the years. I’m happy to say that many of the tracks included are my favorites too.”
The CD is set for release on April 5.
Brandy asked for and was granted a release from her record contract with Atlantic Records in November. Her most recent album, Afrodisiac, has been certified Gold at over 500,000 records since its release on June 28, 2004.
