Independent artist, Wayna, second album “Higher Ground” has been considered a contender for ‘Best New Album’ grabbing her a Grammy nomination.  Wayna’s first single off the album ‘My Love’ received more than 2500 downloads on #1 Soul Music website Soultracks with the single ‘My Love’ debuting at #18 on the hot singles sales chart on Billboard and also #2 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart.

Hip-Hop artist Lady Sovereign has entered into an agreement with EMI Music Services to distribute her new label, Midget Records. EMI Music Services will handle physical and digital distribution for Midget in the US and UK markets, with the first release being Lady Sovereign’s upcoming album, “Jigsaw,” out April 7th. The track, “I Got You Dancing” is being previewed to fans on her MySpace page during the holiday season this month.

Over the weekend (Jan. 10th) Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson and Josh Duhamel exchanged wedding vows and the two officially became husband and wife at their estimated $1 million dollar wedding according to reports. The private ceremony took place at the Church Estate Vineyard in Malibu, California with decorations of thousands of white roses and a tent ceiling covered with lights,  amongst some 300 guests.
