N.A.R.A.S. Executive Director Merl Saunders Jr. To Attend CMAP Global Web Concert For Youth

CMAP Music International President Bobby Bensley announced today that Merl Saunders Jr., Executive Director of the San Francisco chapter of The Recording Academy (producers of the annual GRAMMY Awards) is scheduled to attend the CMAP Global Web Concert For Youth August 3-5 in Windsor, Colorado.

In 1957, a visionary group of music professionals and label executives in Los Angeles recognized the need to create an organization that would represent the creative people in the recording arts and sciences. The Recording Academy’s San Francisco Chapter was the seventh chapter to open, spearheaded by a local group of industry professionals in 1974. Saunders will be present to provide an introduction to the Recording Academy, to demystify the whole GRAMMY process and what the Academy does as an organization. This event will be the Academy
