Britney Tour Planned For October, Her Band Says
She’s doing it again. Britney Spears will support her third album with a tour this fall, her label said Friday.
Details are sketchy, but Spears’ band will begin rehearsing for the outing on September 8, touring guitarist Skip Dorsey said in a chat Thursday night on the group’s Web site.
“We don’t have an exact date for the tour yet, but it’s supposed to start in October,” Dorsey said. A Jive Records spokesperson said the dates are still being finalized.
The pop superstar will not join the group for the initial rehearsals, bassist Freddy Mollings said in the chat. “She’ll be working on the dance moves first, before we see her. She probably will pop in a little later while we learn the songs.”
Spears’ band has not heard the new record, which hits stores November 6 and features production from Rodney Jerkins and BT.
“They are keeping the new album top secret … not to mention it’s not finished yet,” drummer Slam said.
