LARISSA LAM HOLDS SPECIAL BENEFIT SHOW CELEBRATING LIFE SEPT. 30;
LARISSA LAM PERFORMS FOR SAN FRANCISCO MAYOR AND NIGERIAN GOVERNOR
LOS ANGELES, CA – September 26th, 2001– Southern California singer-songwriter and LOG Records artist, Larissa Lam, will perform a special acoustic benefit show Sunday, September 30th, 2001 at the renowned acoustic room at L.A.’s Genghis Cohen. Larissa will donate her portion of proceeds from the show and a portion of CD sales to the Salvation Army NYC disaster relief effort.
The critically acclaimed vocalist will be performing songs from her latest album, “on the Way up,” as well as a couple of familiar songs that celebrate life and meditate on the things that are truly important in life. The acoustic set will be a departure from her usual jazzy, rock/pop sound.
Last weekend, Larissa made a fall tour stop in Northern California performing three shows including one at the San Francisco Moon Festival. In addition to being one of the featured performers at the festival’s main stage, Larissa sang a rousing rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” at the opening ceremonies of the festival, where she shared the same stage as San Francisco mayor Willie Brown.
Recently, Larissa also performed before the Plateau State of Nigeria delegation at the Westin Bonaventure hotel in honor of the Nigerian govenor’s visit to the U.S.
