Yost Heart Attack

Jeff Yost, independent musician/composer,
and founder of the web’s GigSwaP Services
International suffered a heart attack at his
home on Friday, October 26th.
Yost had been working on “The Bitter Suites”, a cd project for future release. He was planning a trip to Portland, Oregon to finish recording and then to L.A. for final mix and mastering when the attack occurred.
Yost was rushed to Magruder hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio, from where he was lifeflighted by helicopter to Toledo hospital in Toledo, Ohio.
Jeff has worked with many top musicians in different capacities since the 70s. He has worked with Cheap Trick, Iggy Pop, Brownsville Station, The Guess Who, Rick Nelson, Davey Jones, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, to name a few. He has
played keyboards, guitar, bass, and vocals in many Ohio bands, and has toured nationally and internationally as a solo artist.
His GigSwaP organization was active in over 22 countries from 1994-1997, and still offers a maillist. Yost also published the music magazine “Namuto Press” and founded the Northwest Ohio

Mr. Yost was given the lifesaving drug ‘TNKase’ (Tenecteplase) and underwent a heart cath., angeoplasty, and had a stint placement
in his heart for a 100% blockage of the right coronary artery.
