Blige Bolsters ‘Drama’ With New Songs, Remixes
Mary J. Blige has set a Jan. 29 release date for an expanded edition of her hit MCA album “No More Drama.” The set will featue new cover art, the new songs “He Think I Don’t Know” and “Rainy Dayz” featuring Ja Rule, and remixes of the title track featuring Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and “Dance for Me” featuring Common. “Rainy Dayz” will be serviced to U.S. radio outlets for airplay consideration in the coming weeks.
As previously reported, Blige will launch a world tour in support of “No More Drama” on Feb. 5 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Two days earlier, she will duet with Marc Anthony on “America the Beautiful” as part of the pre-game festivities for Super Bowl XXXVI at the Louisiana Superdome.
“No More Drama” was nominated for a best R&B album Grammy, while the No. 1 hit “Family Affair” earned a nomination for best female R&B vocal performance. “No More Drama” is No. 29 in its 20th week on The Billboard 200, while “Family Affair” is No. 6 on The Billboard Hot 100.
