Brandy Talks About Life, Marriage & Family on Oprah

Brandy has an exclusive interview with Oprah which airs today. Brandy sung her hit single, “What About Us?”

Oprah had the chance to speak with not only Brandy, but her mother, father and her husband Robert.

Oprah: What did you think when Brandy told you the news [that she was married] ?

Sonja: I was not shocked. I remember one day we were standing in the driveway and she and Robert were playing around. And my husband and I said, ‘When are you guys going to get married?’ And they said, ‘We are already.’

Brandy husband Robert Smith shyly stated, “We basically just didn’t want to make a big deal about it. I’m kind of a private person, and it wasn’t really a thing where we wanted the whole world to know. It was just between us.”
