Jewel Recovering From Injuries After Being Thrown From Horse
Jewel is recovering from injuries she sustained after being thrown from a horse at her boyfriend, rodeo star Ty Murray’s, ranch in Texas Wednesday (April 24). The singer broke her collarbone and a rib in the accident.
“They’ve confirmed to me that nothing was life-threatening, but she is badly hurt,” Atlantic Records co-president Ron Shapiro told the AP. Jewel was not hospitalized, but will remain in a collar and sling for the next several weeks. The singer has been forced to cancel a promotional tour for her new album, This Way, and her European tour, which is to kick off May 10, may also be affected. The singer is still scheduled to embark on her U.S. tour June 14 in Tampa, Florida.
