Alicia Keys & Christina Aguilera Team For ‘Impossible’ Recording
Alicia Keys performs on “Impossible,” a new song that may be featured on Christina Aguilera’s still-to-be titled upcoming album. According to a spokesperson at RCA Records, the song was co-written by Keys and Aguilera, and recorded during sessions at New York’s Electric Lady studios last month, with the Crucial Keys team of Keys and her partner, Kerry Brothers, producing.
Set for release later this year, the new album will be Aguilera’s official follow-up to her 1999 self-titled debut; though she’s also released a holiday album, My Kind Of Christmas, a Spanish album Mi Reflejo, and a special edition of her debut album with extra remix tracks.
LAUNCH asked Keys if there are other artists she’d like to work with. “I like to let it happen, as it happens, as your flowing and seeing what’s coming about and what’s feeling right, who it feels right with. Something like a collaboration with India.Arie I think is something I would love to investigate and, you know, even with somebody like a Lenny Kravitz or Nikka Costa, just something on a whole different side of things would be a lot of fun, so we’ll see.”
