Angie Martinez And Dru Hill’s Nokio Having Baby

Radio personality and rapper Angie Martinez announced on Monday (January 20) that she is five months pregnant. The child was fathered by producer and Dru Hill member Nokio, who turned 24 on Monday (January 20), according to Martinez’s spokesperson at Elektra Records.

No comment was given as to how the pregnancy might effect Martinez’s present work schedule, which–in addition to her duties as a DJ on WQHT–includes her Animal House production company and its new artist, Sacario, who is working on his debut album. Martinez was also hoping to release her third, as-yet-untitled album in 2003.

In related news, Martinez recently released a Just Blaze remix of her latest single, “Take You Home” featuring Kelis. The remix features a verse from Martinez’s labelmate Fabolous.
