Wynonna Judd Hopes For Fall Wedding
Wynonna Judd hopes to marry her fiance and longtime bodyguard, D.R. Roach, sometime this fall. The two have worked together for 10 years, but have been a couple for four.
“This is my miracle,” Judd told TV Guide. “I fell in love with him four years ago, in the space of 24 hours. I’d never even seen him as a guy before that!”
The singer adds that her divorce from Arch Kelly, who is the father of her two children, almost did her in. “I’d come out of a very rough divorce and had been to hell and back,” Judd told the publication. “I’d take that trip many times, but this one just about ‘ruint’ me, as we say. I was one of those ‘I’ll live on a mountain top and be a pioneer woman, chopping my own wood’ people. I didn’t need anybody! But then, love just happened.”
Judd participated in the Grammy In The Schools program at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Friday (January 31). The seminar encourages careers in the music business.
