Toni Braxton Inks New Record Deal With Blackground Records
Billboard and the New York Daily News recently reported that Braxton is leaving her longtime label Arista’s LaFace Records, after inking a $10 million, three-album deal with the Universal-distributed Blackground Records in an attempt to goose future sales.
Braxton will reportedly return to the studio in a few months to begin work on her first album for Blackground, tentatively slated for a September release. Her first single should be out by July.
