Grammy Award Winning Artist Faith Hill To Release First Ever DVD ‘When The Light
Grammy Award winning artist Faith Hill will release her first-ever DVD “When the Lights Go Down” on May 6. This collectable DVD will feature performances of songs that have made Faith one of the biggest artists in music today. “When the Lights Go Down” DVD also features never-before-seen footage, performances and the exclusive ‘making of’ story, as told by Faith.
“Faith Hill: When The Lights Go Down” was originally taped this past September, just prior to the release of her #1 album, Cry and debuted on NBC Thanksgiving night 2002. The DVD captures first hand the experience of making this special and includes performances recorded from a soundstage in Hollywood and on stage at Los Angeles’ Palace Theater in front of a live audience. One of the DVD’s highlights is the exclusive performance of “Breathe” with legendary guitarist Carlos Santana.
The DVD also includes never-before-seen performance footage of three bonus songs not included in the original telecast. Hill perform “Stronger,” “Back To You” and “If You’re Gonna Fly Away” during the taping of the television special at The Palace Theater in LA. Those stunning live performances are now included on “Faith Hill: When The Lights Go Down” DVD.
This week, the RIAA officially declared Hill’s Breathe 8X platinum and Hill’s “Take Me As I Am” 3X platinum. The “When the Lights Go Down” DVD will feature hits from all of her multi-platinum albums including Faith, Breathe, and her newly released #1 album Cry. Such classics include “This Kiss,” “Breathe,” “The Way You Love Me,” “When The Lights Go Down,” “Free,” “Let Me Let Go,” “Cry,” “One,” and “There You’ll Be” from Pearl Harbor.
Hill is currently nominated for Top Female Vocalist at the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards and recently took home the award for Hottest Female Video at the CMT Flameworthy 2003 Video Music Awards for “When The Lights Go Down,” a video that was shot during the making of this DVD.
