RACHAEL SAGE: VIDEO DEBUT AND PERFORMANCE, ”WHAT IF”
Rachael Sage to Perform at Knitting Factory’s AlterKnit Lounge:
Friday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m.
New York City-based keyboardist and singer/songwriter Rachael Sage brings her sensual, atmospheric “folk-noir” sound to Los Angeles in support of PUBLIC RECORD. Her latest album – which Sage coproduced with Emmy Winning producer/engineer Andy Zulla – is her fifth CD on her own MPress Records label. In addition to her performance, the evening marks the West Coast debut of her new video for “What If”. The video, shot in Los Angeles, was directed by Sage’s longtime friend, actor/director/producer Joshua Leonard, who recently directed a clip for the Campfire Girls (Interscope).
Leonard, best known for his role as Josh, the cameraman in The Blair Witch Project, also appeared in the Robert DeNiro/Cuba Gooding Jr. film “Men of Honor” and in HBO’s “Live From Baghdad”. Currently he is co-directing the documentary feature “Beautiful Losers” about a group of world-renown street artists and producing “Live From Death Row” in association with Amnesty International.
