“The Artists Panel – Meet Rachael Sage: An award-winning recording
artist who performs over 150 dates a year and has released five CD’s through
nationally distributed indie MPress Records. Unwilling to compromise
her musical integrity, she has surrounded herself with a passionate and
creative team who help promote her music to radio/press/retail, coordinate
tours and maintain a close relationship with her grassroots fanbase.
As a member of several artist collectives including Indiegrrl, GoGirls
and Outmusic, Rachael and her team will also focus on the importance of
peer support, gig-swapping and street teams in terms of finding an audience
and creating community. This exciting and thought-provoking panel
will provide artists with insight on maintaining their creative control
while establishing loyal ties with listeners as well as industry insiders–WITHOUT
selling out.”
