Truth Hurts Getting ”Ready Now” To Drop Her Latest Album June 1
With huge promotional tie-ins with Target and Best Buy already on board, the stars are lining up and shining bright on the forthcoming album by St. Louis R&B singer/songwriter TRUTH HURTS.
June 1 marks the release of her sophomore album, READY NOW, her first on Grammy Award winner, singer, songwriter, producer, musician Raphael Saadiq’s Pookie Entertainment label (distributed by the Navarre Corporation). It’s the follow-up to 2002’s TRUTHFULLY SPEAKING, which debuted at #5 on Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums” chart and #4 on Billboard’s “Top R&B Albums” chart, and spawned the #1 smash hit “Addictive.”
The excitement has already started with immediate and overwhelming success at a large number of Urban radio stations nationwide who are currently spinning the title track in heavy rotation. Intense airplay on TV outlets such as BET, MTV2 and VH1 Soul isn’t too far behind. A video for “Ready Now” was recently shot in Los Angeles with choreographer Fatima Robinson (Black Eyed Peas’ “Hey Mama”) at the director’s helm.
