Artist And Fan Participation Promotes Music At BackstageStories.com
PHILADELPHIA June 1, 2004 — Launched in April 2003, BackstageStories.com has grabbed the attention of major record labels as well as visitors from more than 20 countries. The site promotes artists through fan stories, exclusive interviews, photo galleries, concert reviews and CD giveaways.
Based in the United States, the site was founded by three friends spread along the east coast: Lisa Elder, North Carolina; Heather Hayman, Pennsylvania; and Michelle Taunton, Virginia. The idea was born out of their mutual love of music and their own experiences meeting various artists. The trio, who met in 2002 at a concert in Philadelphia, has traveled to Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Orlando, and many places in between in search of backstage adventures.
