Illness Forces Loretta Lynn To Cancel More Dates
An ongoing bout with double pneumonia has forced Loretta Lynn to postpone a series of concert dates next month. The legendary singer is unable perform a scheduled July 3 concert at her Hurricane Mills, Tennessee ranch. Instead, her twin daughters Peggy and Patsy, known as The Lynns, will step in backed by their mother’s band, The Coal Miners.
Lynn’s shows on July 9 and 10 at Falls View Casino in Niagara Falls, New York have also been postponed. Rescheduled dates for those concerts will be announced soon.
The pneumonia diagnosis falls on the heels of a back ailment that led to the postponement of Lynn’s June dates. The singer is out of the hospital and currently recuperating at her Hurricane Mills home.
At her Web site Loretta sends her heartfelt thanks to all of her fans for their love and support and looks forward to seeing them on the road again soon.
