ASHLEE WILLISS is scheduled do a special New York City performance on Monday, July 26 at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village. This performance is part of the New York Songwriters’ Circle and will also feature HEATH BRANDON, JOHN VENTURO and JODI SHAW.
Based in Jacksonville, Florida, ASHLEE WILLISS’ four-year career has been a successful and steady climb. She has appeared in magazines worldwide and has fans in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK. Her last single ‘Bad Weather’, debuted on the TeenFaces.com Teen Top 20 Chart and recently recorded her tenth studio single entitled, ‘Sleep’. With a naturally strong voice and a sound that hypnotizes, it’s only a matter of time before she becomes a household name. But that’s not exactly what ASHLEE wants. “I just love singing. From the recording process to the live shows, I enjoy every part of what I do.” Those who work with ASHLEE know her desire to grow as a musician, as a singer and as a song writer is unwavering. Being more than just a singer will be the key to her success.
Molded after the famous “Writers in the Round” nights at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, the New York Songwriters’ Circle began as the brainchild of Ken Gorka, Manager and Booking agent for the Bitter End. The concept is simple: songwriters in the spotlight, sharing their songs in an intimate, unplugged format and, equally important, sharing the responsibility of filling the seats in the club.
This year the Circle proudly celebrates it’s 15th anniversary and Billboard has hailed as, “One of the best showcases for original music in New York City.”
