Joy Slusarek Promoted To Vice President, National Sales, Universal Music And Vid
Universal Music & Video Distribution (UMVD), the award-winning sales and marketing division of Universal Music Group, the world’s leading music company, has promoted Joy Slusarek to Vice President of National Sales. The announcement was made by Mike Davis, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the company. Formerly, she served as Senior Account Executive, managing a top 10 retail partner.
Based at the company’s headquarters in Universal City, Ms. Slusarek will be responsible for national sales growth and will oversee such key retail accounts as Target, Circuit City, Costco, Amazon and Starbucks.
“Joy is one of the best in the next generation of entertainment sales executives,” stated Mr. Davis. “She has been a tremendous asset and we are pleased to recognize her talents with this promotion.”
Ms. Slusarek joined UMVD in 1994 as a Product Development Manager in St. Louis. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to Sales Representative in Philadelphia where she handled both regional and national accounts. In 2004, while managing the Circuit City account, she was voted a UMVD Star Performer.
Ms. Slusarek received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Syracuse University.
