NEW YORK, NY December 2, 2005–DEMO: Digital &
Electronic Music Organization, Inc. (www.d-e-m-o.com) granted the
Liquid Crystal Certification Award to Gwen Stefani on November 14,
2005. The Liquid Crystal Certification Award was presented to Gwen
Stefani to commemorate the achievement of 1,000,000 downloaded music
sales of the single ‘Hollaback Girl’. Andre Gray, CEO/Founder of DEMO
and inventor of online music sales certifications, states that, “We
honored the first album to sell one million copies through the Internet
and now we are honoring the first million selling digitally downloaded
single in history. This is truly an exciting time to be in the music
business and I hope that these sales figures will serve as an
inspiration to all aspiring independent musicians the world over to
circumvent the so-called major labels and go straight to the Internet.”
DEMO: Digital & Electronic Music Organization, Inc.
(www.d-e-m-o.com) provides online music sales certifications on a
global scale. Andre Gray, inventor of online music sales certifications
on a global scale, envisioned the concept of DEMO on October 9, 1999,
to create an organization that will award certifications for secured
electronic music sales (SEMS) over the internet. The primary purpose of
DEMO is to create a global de facto standard for online music sales and
to promote all the musical genres of the world as a unifying force.
