Dixie Chicks Set for Tribute to James Taylor

The Dixie Chicks, Alison Krauss and Bonnie Raitt will perform musical
tributes to James Taylor, MusiCares’ 2006 person of the year, during a
Feb. 6 dinner and concert in Los Angeles. Carole King, Randy Newman,
Paul Simon and Sting will also perform during the fundraiser for the
nonprofit organization that provides assistance to those in need in the
music industry. Taylor, who will offer a special performance at the
concert, is being honored for his contributions to music and
commitments to philanthropic and humanitarian causes. The event
coincides with the 48th annual Grammy Awards show taking place Feb. 8
in Los Angeles. The Dixie Chicks have been recording a new album with
producer Rick Rubin.
