Russian-born Recording Artist Marina V Becomes An American Citizen!
In January 2006, Russian-born and Los
Angeles-based recording artist Marina V (stands for Verenikina) took an
oath to become an American citizen.
“I’ve been waiting to become a citizen for a long time. I am very happy
and honored, and I am also very excited to finally be able to vote. I
am truly grateful for the opportunities I have here and now I can
officially call America my home,” the green-eyed singer explains.
However, Marina is still very proud of her Russian heritage, and considers herself “one very happy Russian-American.”
Marina will be celebrating her American citizenship with her fans.
