Show Dog Nashville Names Denise Roberts As Vice President Of Promotion
Show Dog Nashville has named Denise Roberts as Vice President of
Promotion. Denise reports to George Nunes, GM of Show Dog Nashville,
and is responsible for radio promotion of all the label’s artists. She
will also over see the regional promotion staff and radio syndication.
“Denise is the best at thinking out of the box and coming up with
creative ways to promote and market artists,” said George Nunes.
Starting at Los Angeles’ KZLA radio station, Denise worked her way over
to the promotion department at record labels. First with MCA, she was
instrumental in career building #1 singles for artists including Reba
McEntire, George Strait, Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood, and Wyonna as
well as awarded Radio & Records prestigious “Country Regional
Promotion Executive of the Year” for four consecutive years. Before
joining the Show Dog Nashville staff, Denise was the National Director
of Promotion at Universal South where she was key in breaking Joe
Nichols and attaining a hit single for Pat Green.
Show Dog Nashville was founded by country superstar Toby Keith and
launched in September 2005 in Nashville, TN. The label, a stand-alone
distributed by Universal, touts the motto of “the only thing we take
seriously is the music.” Toby Keith, the first artist signed to the
label, latest single, “Let’s Get Drunk And Be Somebody,” is roaring up
the charts in advance of his upcoming album “White Trash With Money.”
Singer-songwriter Scotty Emerick is also signed to Show Dog Nashville
and is set to release his single, “What’s Up With That.”
