Natalie Coles Battles Illness, Gets 3 Grammy Nominations and Preps For Italy Concert
Although singer Natalie Cole, 58, has been battling her illness of hepatitis C, an incurable liver disease and now kidney failure, the singer will be in Milan, Italy at the Piazza Duomo come December 20th with the con Ladies Orchestra di Sofia & Bulgarian National Radio Big Band which is being offered by the Municipality of Milan.
Currently the singer states she goes to dialysis three times a week as a result of her kidney failure.
In an interview the singer adds that she hopes that nobody she knows gets it and she hopes that a cure is discovered.
On December 16th, Cole will be on MyNetwork TV’s “Spirit of Christmas” show at 8:00 pm, 7:00 pm Central. Other performers for the evening will include Brian McKnight, Bo Bice, Tiffany, the Greater Los Angeles Gospel Choir, Al Jarreau, and many more.
In addition to the news, Natalie Cole an eight-time Grammy winner has also been nominated for three Grammys for “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album,” “Best Engineered Album,” “Non-Classical, Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) for her album Still Unforgettable” for the 51st Grammy Awards which is scheduled to air February 8th, 2008.
