BET to Launch New Gospel Show, Spin-off Of 106 & Park, Generation Gospel
BET is prepping to launch a spin-off of its hit music show 106 & Park which will be called Generation Gospel. The weekly show will be hosted by Jorel Quinn from the hip hop gospel group 21:03 and Angel Taylor of the female gospel contemporary music group Trin-i-tee 5:7 and will feature a live studio audience, music videos, celebrity guests, and much more.
Guest correspondents for Generation Gospel will include Tye Tribbett, 21 year-old Dove Award winner Kierra “KiKi” Sheard, and Sunday Best finalist Jermaine Sellers. The premiere episode airs on January 11, 2009 at 12pm ET, with performances from Marvin Sapp and Kierra “KiKi” Sheard.
