Fort Worth, TX. (MusiqQueen.com) – Dr. Linda Reese, concert pianist, announces the March 2009 release of her new album, 2 Grands 4 Little Ones. This album, her fourth release, will appeal to the younger set, yet is still sophisticated enough for adult listeners to enjoy. 2 Grands 4 Little Ones will include soothing tracks such as: Scarborough Faire, When You Wish Upon a Star, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. ‘I have thoughtfully selected the tracks and placed them in an order based on my experience with children and music therapy,’ said Reese.
Dr. Linda is also excited to announce her first 2009 tour date. This April 27th she will perform
at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth Texas. Reese made her musical debut in 2008 in conjunction with guest pianist, Adam Chester, an accomplished musician closely associated with Elton John. Last fall the dynamic duo released three albums, Music 4 Your Heart, featuring love songs and timeless classics, Two Grands 4 Christmas, showcasing wonderful holiday standards and children’s favorites and 2 Grands 4 Glory, an album of beautiful praise and worship music. The albums received glowing reviews and are now heard on radio stations across the nation. Dr. Linda also held her first public concert last November for a full house. Her performance received a standing ovation and an encore. ‘Linda’s playing not only shows her remarkable technique, but a sensitivity to the composer’s intent. The audience immediately responded to her creative, musical arrangements,’ said Louis Harris, Minister of Music, Christ Chapel Bible Church.
About Dr. Linda Reese (http://www.drlindareese.com)
While growing up in New England, Dr. Linda nurtured her passion for piano. At the age of 12, she astonished her music teacher by playing an additional bass line with her left foot in an attempt to create the symphony of sounds she heard in her mind. At 16, she played the virtuosic piece Brandenburg Concerto No 5 (with both feet on the floor) and then went on to a double major in music and psychology at Bowdoin College. Linda put music on the backburner for a number of years while she pursued other life adventures including traveling through Europe, going to medical school, becoming the Senior Medical Officer at NAS Dallas, falling in love and starting a family. When her children were small, she would soothe them to sleep every night by playing a repertoire of 5 songs on an old upright that she had purchased while in medical school. In 2006, through a series of wonderful and unusual events, Dr. Linda came home to a gift from her husband and children, a 1923 restored 9 ft Concert Grand Steinway that Fred Astaire reportedly performed his famous “Piano Dance” on from the film Let’s Dance. As Linda began to practice again, she was amazed with the depth of sound and magic she was able to create. She loves playing solo, but has recently joined forces with Adam Chester to play 2- piano, 4-hand music together. In 2008, they created and released three albums that encompass breathtaking and soul soothing renditions of holiday, popular classics and praise & worship music. Dr. Linda’s albums Music 4 Your Heart, 2 Grands 4 Christmas and 2 Grands 4 Glory can be heard on radio stations across the nation. They are available at various bookstores and online at http://www.drlindareese.com or http://www.itunes.com.
