Mariah Carey Chokes Up At Michael Jackson Memorial, Apologizes
As the emotional filled memorial service for Pop star and entertainer Michael Jackson brought out a slew of fans, family members and celebrities on yesterday July 7, 2009, it is evident that anyone who is human and has emotions would have possibly choked up and this is what happened to singer and actress Mariah Carey.
Mariah Carey who was asked to sing Michael Jackson’s song “I’ll Be There” which she has sung a number of times, choked up during her performance after seeing the Michael Jackson’s coffin and later felt the need to apologize via Twitter.
“Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me. I could barely keep myself from crying,” Mariah Carey Twittered.
“I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me….One thing I know is, we will never really have to say goodbye to MJ. His legacy lives on through his music and the millions of people he inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts”
