After the death of A.J. was made known publicly, Kandi Burruss has remained somewhat silent only stating that she is in the mood of not wanting to speak and does not wish to be held and told it is going to be O.K., however the star did thank fans and everyone for their prayers especially for his children via her Twitter page.
This isn’t the only death Kandi Burruss is mourning this weekend, the singer’s Uncle Ralph Leslie also died and his funeral was held on today (October 3, 2009).
Currently Kandi Burruss is taking care of two of A.J. Jewell’s six children which happen to be a set of twin girls.
In the interview with Essence on last month, Kandi Burruss stated that he asked her to take care of them because they needed a strong female role model.
In the past, Kandi Burruss and A.J. Jewell’s relationship was being judged on by onlookers which was even highlighted on one episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” where Kandi Burruss’ mother also spoke of her concern on their relationship although Burruss Aunt’s went on to say they would support her decisions.
After tension sparked over their relationship, the two called off their wedding and stated they would remain friends.
