Taylor Swift Named 2011 Billboard Woman of the Year; Nominated For 6 CMA Awards
Grammy award winning artist, Taylor Swift, 21, will be the youngest female artist named Billboard’s Woman of The Year due to being the biggest selling female artist for the past twelve months. The country music star and songwriter will be receiving the award at the 2011 Billboard Women In Music event come December 2, 2011 in New York at the Capitale.
According to Bill Werde, Billboard’s Editorial Director, they are thrilled at Billboard to recognize Taylor Swift’s successes by honoring her with the Woman of The Year award. Werde also stated, he is looking forward to watch her career continue to flourish for years to come.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is nominated for (6) 2011 CMA Awards which include Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Vocal Duo of the Year and Music Video of the Year. The CMA’s (Country Music Association Awards) is scheduled to air on November 9th at 7PM CST on ABC.
In other news, Taylor Swift is currently on her “Speak Now” World Tour which is set to end March 18, 2012 in Auckland, New Zealand.
