Lady Gaga vs. Miss Piggy: Singer Cut From Muppets Movie
Lady GaGa and The Muppets Miss Piggy got beef?! No, not really, but Lady GaGa, who is an admitted Muppets fan, was to star in the Walt Disney Company’s movie in a scene against Miss Piggy.
However, Lady Gaga has reportedly been cut from The Muppets movie after the film’s director James Bobin was forced to shorten the 3-hour movie down to 98 minutes and he did so by dropping numerous movie scenes including one of the scenes which was to star Lady GaGa.
Singer Lady Gaga along with an all-star entourage, including Ed Helms and John Krasinski, were set to go head to head squaring off against Miss Piggy but Gaga’s Muppets movie film debut seems likely not to make it to big screen now.
Along with Lady GaGa, singer Katy Perry’s musical spoof of her song “I Kissed A Girl,” didn’t make the film cut either.
The Muppets movie was released in theaters on November 23, 2011, directed by James Bobin, produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, and stars Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones; along with all the favorite muppet characters including Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo the Great, Pepe the King Prawn, Rizzo the Rat, and others.
