13 year old Rachel Crow had a melt down on stage after being eliminated from X Factor. Many people are blaming ‘X Factor’ judge, Paula Abdul. Abdul instructed Nicole Scherzinger to “let it go to deadlock” after seeing how Nicole was visibly distraught over the decision of who to send home. Nicole and Paula both reportedly received a ton of death threats from fans.
Once again, people are questioning the reason that younger children are being allowed on prime time reality shows. One source says that if we don’t allow our children to drive until they are 16, what makes parents think that they can handle the pressure of Simon Cowell’s reality show?
The other contestants didn’t know how to react when Rachel threw herself onto the stage sobbing, but they all seemed genuinely concerned. Amaro tells the young singer that she “cannot give up, because she’s an amazing singer,” she said to MTV News.
“[It was] brutal,” said Krajcik, adding that ..”you get emotional.”
Although it is a very sad situation, it seems like one very good thing has come of it. Disney has been scoping Rachel Crow for a while and now they have a chance to work with her.
A source tells HollywoodLife that Rachel might actually do some walk-ons and voice-overs on some Disney shows that are already established.
The long-term goal is for Rachel to have her own show.
This just proves the saying that when one door closes, another one does open.
