50 Cent Signs Female Rapper Paris To G-Unit Label; Releases Song Queens, NY
Rapper and CEO, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson recently revealed that he has signed Queens, New York female rapper Paris to his G-Unit imprint.
In an interview on DJ Whoo Kid’s Shade 45 XM Radio show, 50 Cent spoke about how he met the emcee more than a year ago and that she is practically not very well known. According to 50 Cent, Paris has been working hard in the music business for a minute and actually comes from his neighborhood in Southside Jamaica Queens.
Instead of jumping in and doing a project with Paris, 50 Cent says that he waited until she was ready.
“When you look at the material that she brought, it was so good that it was like, ‘Aight, now you’re ready,'” says 50 Cent.
50 Cent explains he didn’t want to get an artist that he had to coach through the whole process and, at this point, Paris doesn’t require it.
“… she’s been working at it for quite some time…she’s signed, we’re finishing up her actual deal points now,” added 50 Cent.
A mixtape from the female rapper is expected to come out after he releases the Big 10.
In the meantime, 50 Cent has released an official music video featuring his new female artist Paris representing “Queens, NY.”
