Billboard’s Best of 2011: The Year of Music lists are here and the meat wearing, over-the-top outfit wearing and controversial singer Lady Gaga was voted as the “Most Overated” for Billboard’s 2011 Readers Poll.
Top spot for the 2011 MVP went to Britney Spears followed by Lady Gaga and Adele.
Best Newcomer is Young Money’s female rap artist Nicki Minaj, who swiped first place based on reader votes. Favorite Hot 100 No. 1 went to Adele with “Rolling in the Deep,” Britney Spears with “Hold It Against Me” and Lady Gaga with “Born This Way.”
The Favorite Billboard 200 No. 1 includes Adele’s “21,” Britney Spears’ “Femme Fatale” and Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.”
Best Music Video went to Britney Spears, “Til The World Ends.” Second place for “Best Music Video” went to Lady Gaga for “Born This Way” with the third place spot going to Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris for “We Found Love.”
The “Hottest Couple” went to Jay-Z and Beyonce who are expecting their first child, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez (2), and Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose (3). First place spot for Best Comeback based on the readers’ poll went to the hot and sexy Jennifer Lopez who was followed by Kelly Clarkson and Evanescence.
As for Billboard’s 2011 The Year In Music, Adele ranked No. 1 for “Artists of The Year.” Others following behind Adeles include Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Chris Brown.
The Biggest Controversy of the year was Amy Winehouse’s death followed by Michael Jackson’s doc Conrad Murray on trial and Justin Bieber’s baby drama.
