Lady Gaga’s Former Assistant Lawsuit; Says She Was Treated Like A Slave
Lady Gaga’s former assistant Jennifer O’Neill feels that she is owed quite a bit of overtime [7168 hours] and claims that she was apparently being treated like a slave by the Pop star.
In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court last week against Mermaid Touring Company, Jennifer O’Neill says she worked for Lady Gaga for approximately 13 months during her 2010 Monster’s Ball tour and is owed $380,000 in overtime outside of her $75,000 base salary. O’Neill also says that she had to fetch a towel for Lady Gaga born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta after her showers and act as an alarm clock to make sure that the singer stuck to her schedule.
In addition, Jennifer O’Neill is noted to have said in the lawsuit that there were no times for breaks and, at times, no times for sleep because she had to be on hand for Lady Gaga in the wee hours and in the middle of the night for random matters.
Another personal assistant for Lady Gaga, Angela Ciemny, made previous claims that the Pop star required her to sleep with her at night because she preferred not to be alone and the two even showered and applied their make-up together sometimes.
Lady Gaga has not responded to the claims, however her rep stated that the suit is completely without merit.
