Singer T-Boz To Star In Reality Show ‘Totally T-Boz’ on TLC
Singer T-Boz of the best-selling female music group TLC, which consists of Rozanda ‘Chilli’ Thomas and the late Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, is set to star in her own new reality show on television network TLC.
The show ‘Totally T-Boz’ is expected to focus on the 42 year-old singer’s life as a single mother, who is working at re-establishing her music career after recovering from health problems, a failed marriage with rapper Mack 10 and financial troubles.
In 1996, T-Boz, born Tionne Watkins, announced that she had sickle cell anemia, which left her hospitalized for four months in 2002. Years later, in 2009, the singer announced that she had a fatal brain tumor which caused problems with her balance, hearing, sight, and movement of her face . She secretly battled with the brain tumor for three years.
Doctors refused to operate on the singer due to her suffering with sickle cell, however help came via a physician from the Cedar Sinai Hospital, who agreed to do a risky procedure on T-Boz for her non-cancerous brain tumor.
The surgery left T-Boz with having to relearn to walk and talk again.
Meanwhile, the new reality show ‘Totally T-Boz,’ which is being filmed in Atlanta, is slated to air sometime in 2013.
