Idol Judge Mariah Carey Beefs Up Security After Alleged Nicki Minaj Gun Threat

Days following the surfacing of the American Idol video where Nicki Minaj curses out Mariah Carey during auditions in NC, as reported on MusiqQueen.com, Mariah Carey has now beefed up security as promised.

The beefing up of security came after Mariah Carey expressed her concerns with The View’s Barbara Walters who called her prior to the show. According to Barbara Walters, Mariah Carey stated that a number of people heard Nicki Minaj state that if she had a gun she would shoot her.

Following Barbara Walters reporting this on national television, Nicki Minaj took to twitter to state anyone will believe anything because she is a black rapper. The Young Money/Cash Money rapper went on to state that she didn’t call TMZ or Barbara Walters because she knows how to stand on her own.

“Insecurity is as cruel as the grave,” tweeted Nicki Minaj.

Meanwhile, other celebrities are voicing their opinions and are even stating like some watchers that it’s just to hype up the show.

Amercian Idol is scheduled to air in January 2013.
