Nicki Minaj Confirms New Album Titled, ‘The Pink Print,’ Apologizes For Malcolm X Artwork
Coming off the success of a very popular debut album “Pink Friday” (2010) and album sequel “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” (2012), Onika Tanya Maraj better known as Nicki Minaj, has confirmed the title of her new album, “The Pink Print.”
Making plans for her third studio album “The Pink Print,” Nicki Minaj recently released a video for a new song entitled “Lookin A– Ni—.”
The new music video, which has caused quite a stir over the Internet, was directed by Nabil Elderkin and was released online this week, February 12, 2014.
The controversy stems from promotional images of the Trinidadian rapper attaching Malcolm X to her artwork holding a M1 Carbine assault rifle looking out a window, which she has since apologized to Malcolm X’s estate for using the image of the activist.
More controversy stems from the rapper/singer being dressed in a black see-thru leotard with star-shaped pasties shown in pictures that were uploaded to her Instagram.
Nicki Minaj implied that she was filming for a music video for her upcoming project.
The Young Money/Cash Money recording artist says the song is not an official single but instead was just “a conversation” which may appear on an upcoming Young Money compilation album.
Along with “The Pink Print” album, Nicki Minaj is also set to appear in her first action film “The Other Woman” alongside Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton and Leslie Mann, which is set to release in movie theaters April 25, 2014.
