All content we produce is complete and accurate to the best of our abilities. MusiqQueen aims to publish news, articles, and videos that are informative and entertaining, and that always serve the interests of our viewers.

WE SEEK THE TRUTH AND OPERATE TRANSPARENTLY

The foundation of our journalism is the pursuit of the truth. That implies that we must continually work to uphold the strictest standards of sincerity. We don’t create, lie, or manipulate audio or visual elements in our news reporting in a way that could be misconstrued. We try to provide the most accurate and comprehensive news coverage we can based on the information and sources available. We are open about our beliefs and how we gather news. We acknowledge our mistakes and fix them.

A code of ethics cannot apply in every situation. We understand that it is each of our responsibilities to ask for advice when unsure on how to uphold our values and protect our credibility.

NATURE OF JOURNALISM

We want our coverage to be fact-based, without expression of opinion, but journalists can provide commentary in related blog posts or columns, being transparent about their views. Our journalists can express personal opinions in their social network accounts.

GIFTS, FREE TRAVEL and OTHER PERKS

Our journalists should not accept gifts from subjects or potential subjects of our coverage. In addition, our journalists may accept tickets or press passes to events we are covering or reviewing.

NAMING SUSPECTS

  • We will name criminal suspects if we have their identifications confirmed by sources that we trust.
  • We will not name juvenile suspects in criminal cases unless they are charged with serious violent crimes, such as armed robbery, aggravated sexual assault, attempted homicide or homicide.
  • If a criminal suspect is at large and believed to be dangerous, we will identify the suspect, including a photo or sketch.

    Unless we have a valid reason to withhold a name, we will publish the names of people involved in the stories we cover.
