Aretha Franklin In Good Condition After Surgery; No Performances Until May 2011
The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, 68, who had surgery on today for an illness, is doing good after surgery. The surgery in question will not be revealed, however the singer has canceled a number of performances at the request of her doctor.
Aretha Franklin’s most known hits are “Respect,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “Think,” “Do Right Woman” and “Chain of Fools.”
Aretha Franklin’s biggest album to date is “Amazing Grace” which sold over two million copies in the U.S. alone. The album “Amazing Grace” also received Double Platinum certification.
The surgery follows after Aretha Franklin broke two ribs in August.
Meanwhile, the singer has been ordered not to perform until May 2011.
