Woman Found Dead Following Nicki Minaj Concert, Dancer and Musician Being Held
A man alleged to be the dancer of rapper Nicki Minaj, along with another male associate are being held in Japan for possibly being involved in the murder and possible rape of a female Irish exchange student, Nicola Furlong, 21.
The alleged Nicki Minaj backup dancer, James Blackston, 23, and 19 year-old musician Larry Perry are both being held in custody by Tokyo police in the investigation of the strangling death of the young Irish student. According to reports, Furlong along with another female friend attended Nicki Minaj’s concert and they met the two men and ended up at a hotel together.
Nicola Furlong, who was reportedly a concertgoer of Nicki Minaj’s Roman Reloaded Worldwide Tour in Tokyo, Japan, was found unconscious early Thursday after customers complained of loud noises coming from the hotel room. Police believe from autopsy reports that Nicola Furlong’s death was the result of suffocation by cervical compression.
Nicola Furlong’s family is devastated by the loss of their daughter and claim that the 21 year-old Dublin City University student of Curracloe, Co Wexford was a warm generous person who always had time for her family. Furlong was attending Takasaki City University of Economics in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture approximately 60 miles from Tokyo .
Japanese police are detaining the two men as they continue the investigation surrounding Nicola Furlong’s death and alleged murder.
Additional reportings claim that the 19 year-old American male was alone in the room with Furlong when staff went to question the loud noises.
