Cyndi Lauper Signs With Epic And Gets ‘Naked’ For New Album
Singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper is currently working on a new album tentatively called Naked City. The album will be released on Epic Records, as the “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” singer recently signed with the Sony Music label. Lauper’s previous album Shine was released by Oglio Records in July 2002.
Lauper was on the road with Cher on her Farewell Tour in 2002, and she’s currently one of the supporting acts for Meat Loaf on the North American leg of what he says will be his last world tour.
The tour is in support of Couldn’t Have Said It Better, Meat Loaf’s eighth studio album in 25 years. The album was released in the spring in Europe and comes out in the U.S. on September 30.
