MTV Networks Names Colette Chestnut As Executive Vice President And Chief Financ
Colette Chestnut has been named Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer of MTV Networks, it was announced by Judy McGrath,
Chairman and CEO, MTV Networks. As the company’s CFO, Chestnut will be
based in New York and report directly to MTVN President and COO Michael
Wolf. She will assume her responsibilities March 20.
In her role as Chief Financial Officer for MTVN, she will be
responsible for managing the financial operations of MTV Networks and
will be a member of the MTV Networks Management Committee that plays
the lead role in the overall management of the company.
“Colette’s experience demonstrates her deep understanding of the
complexities of a global business,” said McGrath. “I know she’ll be an
outstanding leader in our company, and I am extremely pleased to have
her join our team.”
Added Wolf, “As we take the company further onto multiple platforms and
around the globe, we couldn’t ask for somebody better than Colette to
complement the team we have in place at MTV Networks.”
Chestnut joins MTVN from JWT, the largest advertising agency in the
United States, where she served as the North American Chief Financial
Officer since 2000. Earlier, she was The Americas CFO of TBWA Worldwide
from 1995 to 2000, where she had overall financial responsibility for
the company’s North and South American operations. Colette joined
Chiat/Day/Mojo in 1992 as controller and was integrally involved in the
sale of Chiat/Day to Omnicom and merger into TBWA, an Omnicom network.
Chestnut also has worked at The Lowe Group of Companies and was a
senior manager at Price Waterhouse. She is a Certified Public
Accountant and attended Bucknell University, where she earned a
bachelor of science degree in business administration.
The position of CFO was formerly held by John Cucci, who has been
promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer for the Comedy
Central/Spike TV/TV Land Entertainment Group.
