PZI Jeans Presents Mary Mary, The Sound Live Tour 2009
(MusiqQueen.com) – Grammy Awards winning Gospel duo, the Mary Mary sisters Tina and Erica Campbell, have begun traveling across the United States on their first tour since 2007, The Mary Mary Live Tour presented by PZI Jeans.
Atlanta-based PZI Jeans and Mary Mary began forging a relationship in fall of 2008 for good reasons, PZI Jeans is committed to embracing women with curves and Mary Mary are also dedicated to uplifting women. Mary Mary is also launching their Be U line of bath and body products, in addition to crafting a Mary Mary inspired denim product with PZI Jeans. “In an era when everybody gets nipped and tucked to look like somebody else, we’re just telling people, ‘Be you… Be intentional, honest and the unique person God made you to be,'” says Tina Campbell.
During an interview with Shelley Boozer at this year’s NAACP Image Awards Nominee Luncheon on February 6th, 2009 in Beverly Hills, Mary Mary discussed their relationship with PZI Jeans.
“The PZI Jeans are great because they fit your hips, but they definitely fit your waist. We have healthy thighs so sometimes it (jeans) will fit my thighs but not my waist. These pants fit your waist, they don’t sag, so when you sit down your exposing things, but they are really stylish, they are really fun, cute and sexy and COMFORTABLE! So now there is going to be a PZI by Mary Mary,” explains Erika Campbell.
Since Mary Mary’s The Sound album was released last year, Mary Mary have been honored with the 2009 NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Gospel Artist” and Grammys for “Best Gospel Performance,” among other awards.
The gospel music duo has also been nominated for Dove Awards for “Group of the Year,” “Urban Recorded Song,” and “Contemporary Gospel Album.”
