Yvette Noel-Schure Promoted To Senior Vice President, Media, Sony Urban Music
Yvette Noel-Schure has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Media, Sony Urban Music, it was announced by Lisa Ellis, General Manager, Sony Urban Music, to whom she reports. Ms. Noel-Schure is based in New York.
In her new position, Ms. Noel-Schure will be responsible for creating comprehensive media plans for new and established Sony Urban Music artists, as well as for overseeing all aspects of publicity for Sony Urban Music.

Most recently Ms. Noel-Schure served as Vice President, Media, Columbia Records, since 2002. During her tenure with Columbia Records, she created memorable and highly effective publicity campaigns for a wide variety of artists beginning with Mariah Carey’s “Music Box” juggernaut in 1993, continuing through Will Smith’s 1997 solo breakthrough, “Big Willie Style” (and its zeitgeist single, “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It”), and, most recently, “Musicology,” Prince’s 2004 return-to-platinum form. She helped launch the career of the then-unknown Destiny’s Child in 1998, guided the group through its 1999 multi-platinum watershed, “The Writing’s On The Wall,” and 2001 smash, “Survivor,” and mounted highly-successful campaigns for each of the group’s members: Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, and Beyonc
