Natasha Bedingfield Plays Live To Fan On Mobile Phone
The intimate gig was streamed live on the ‘3’ network for people with 3G phones and cost a fiver each for the 40 minute set.
We watched some of it on a handset, the sound was slightly tinny and the visuals a bit jumpy, but it’s only the 2nd time this has been done in the UK.
Natasha told us she wasn’t too worried about her fans binning her live concerts in favour of over-the-phone gigs: “I think it’s just like TV really. Everyone likes to be in the comfort of their own home and just to press a button to watch something.”
“I love live gigs and meeting all the people who have an interest in the music. But this is for people who don’t like being in crowded spaces, or maybe concerts just aren’t their thing. It’s a great opportunity for them.”
