Janet Jackson makes diva demands
Janet Jackson has amazed producers at a U.K. radio station by insisting that her chilled spring water come from Fiji.
Reported today in London’s Sun newspaper, the singer had fridges at London station Capital stocked with her favored brand of water an hour before she was due to arrive for an interview with host Johnny Vaughan. Before going on-air, she demanded her staff check the water with a thermometer to ensure it was exactly the right temperature.
The paper quotes a source, who says: “It was simply unbelievable the lengths she went to for a cold glass of water. She insisted the water was her very own, from a Fijian spring and cooled to a precise temperature before she would drink it. How anybody can tell the difference between a standard bottle of mineral water and some from a Fijian spring beggars belief. It was hilarious watching her staff make such a fuss.”
Jackson’s new album, 20 Y.O., is due for release on September 25.
